Business Meeting Agenda Requests

Per Motion 21 (found here) from the January 2020 Business Meeting, this page is the repository of suggestions for future Business Meeting Agenda topics which have been submitted by members of ASP. To have your topic added to this list, please e-mail your topic to a member of the Steering Committee (ASP Elected Trusted Servants), or the entire Steering Committee (steering_committee@asp-afg.org). Please note that when your topic is on the business meeting agenda, you must attend that business meeting to discuss it, otherwise that agenda item will not be discussed. Business meeting agendas are posted in the general meeting approximately one week before the business meeting. Each request must include:

  • Topic name (provided by requesting member)
  • Name of member requesting topic
  • Date requested
  • Description – Member’s description of topic (Optional)

  • Adding the Al-Anon declaration to one of the lead shares – Natasha G.
  • Should we change the qualifications to serve as an elected trusted servant on the steering committee by reducing the one year prior ASP service requirement to six months.  (requested by the steering committee).

  • The issue of privilege in ASP for members of the SC – Steve R
  • Steering Committee Position: List Administrator and Founder job description changes – Anne O March 2020
  • Change to quarterly BM – Steve R

Note: All members of ASP are invited and encouraged to attend and participate in our ASP Business Meetings. Please respond to the invitation from the ASP Secretary in the recovery meeting. These meetings occur every January, March, May, July, September, and November.
