Business Meeting
- Open to all members of ASP
- The Group Conscience of ASP on issues not specifically delegated to the Steering Committee
- Establish general meeting policies by substantial unanimity of subscribed membership of Business Committee
- Changes to ASP core policies require 2/3 majority of subscribed membership of Business Committee
- Secretary may impose 2/3 majority requirement on any significant or controversial issue
- Meets via a mailing list separate from the ASP recovery meeting mailing list
- Elects the members of Business Meeting to the Steering Committee
- Trusted Servants of the Business Meeting
- Secretary
- Chairs the Business Meeting
- Records Group Consciences of the Business Meeting
- Treasurer
- Administers the 7th Tradition as ASP by Passing the Basket monthly
- Accepts donations from ASP members
- Deposits funds received in a bank account
- Disburses funds as necessary to pay ASP financial obligations
- Reports monthly to Steering Committee and Business Committee
- Administers the 7th Tradition as ASP by Passing the Basket monthly
- OLA-IS Rep
- ASP representative to OLA-IS (Online Intergroup)
- Reports monthly to Business Meeting
- Secretary
- Responsibilities
- Contract with necessary service providers
- Domain name registration
- Mailing List hosting
- Web Site hosting
- Administer all technical affairs of ASP
- Implementation of ASP policy & practices
- May make autonomous decisions when needed
- Report to Business Meeting monthly
- Suggested changes to policy & practices
- Generalized report of actions taken
- Contract with necessary service providers
- Members elected by the Business Meeting (3-year term; Panel refers to year elected to office).
- List Administrator (Panel A)
- The primary leadership position of ASP
- Chairs the Steering Committee
- Primary spokesperson for the Steering Committee
- Deals directly with members of ASP regarding ASP policy & practices
- Makes autonomous decisions regarding ASP affairs, when needed
- Keep others on Steering Committee thoroughly informed of all communication involving or representing the Steering Committee
- Responsible for technical administration of the ASP mailing list
- Meeting Contact
- Primary contact person with WSO
- Online meetings are not “Groups” and therefore do not have GRs
- Serves for three years
- Secretary (Panel B)
- Chairs the Business Meeting
- Responsible for the Daily Chairpersons in the ASP meeting
- Appoints Daily Chairpersons to 6-month position
- Instructs/trains Daily Chairpersons
- Alternate List Administrator #1
- Greeter Chairperson (Panel C)
- Chairs the Greeter Committee
- Appoints Greeters
- Instructs/trains Greeters
- Oversees greeting process
- Alternate List Administrator #2
- Chairs the Greeter Committee
- Web Master (Panel C)
- Maintains ASP web sites
- Primary ASP web site open to the public
- Source of information about ASP for non-members
- Primary gateway for joining ASP
- Secondary ASP web site for ASP members only
- Source of administrative and business information to ASP members
- Archive access for members
- Alternate List Administrator #3
- Primary ASP web site open to the public
- Maintains ASP web sites
- Treasurer (Panel A)
