Welcome to A Serenity Place!  Whether you are new to Al-Anon or simply new to our electronic meeting, we welcome you to our group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each Al-Anon Family Group has one purpose: to help families and friends of alcoholics.  We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting Started<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve taken the first step\u2014you\u2019ve come to an Al-Anon meeting.  Congratulations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep coming back to meetings.  It is here that we get the support and comfort that help us deal with our personal situation.  You probably have many questions, including \u201cWhat does working the Steps mean?\u201d or \u201cWhat Al-Anon literature should I read first?\u201d  The links that follow will bring you to the Al-Anon Family Groups on-line store and the section on the site that is designed for newcomers.   Here you will find bookmarks, pamphlets, and daily readers\/books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
