You can also consult the List Administrator at <a href=\"mailto:list_administrator@asp-afg.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">list_administrator@asp-afg.org<\/a> if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motion #14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I move that Motion #7 (\u201cIt is moved that ASP send Newcomers Packets to new members that are \u2013 new to ASP, new to Al-Anon and who request it. Fulfillment expenses to come out of the ASP treasury budget.\u201d) be rescinded.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>PASSED:<br \/>\n19 For, 10 Against, 0 Abstentions (37 members in attendance)<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\"><strong>Motion #13<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That a temporary committee be formed, answerable to the Business Committee, to reassess ASP&#8217;s newcomer-related materials and how ASP could better serve newcomer needs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\">PASSED:<br \/>\n34 For, 0 Against, 0 Abstentions<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\"><strong>Motion #12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\">The Business Committee Chair may call for a straw poll during the discussion of an Agenda Item, but before a motion is formed, in order to collect committee attendees&#8217; positions and input which may help form a motion that is acceptable to a substantial majority.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail_default\">Moved by Jerry.<br \/>\nPASSED:<br \/>\n30 total votes (37 participants in the meeting)<br \/>\n29 For, 1 Against, No votes from 7 individuals (Note: &#8220;Abstain&#8221; was an option on the ballot)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motion #11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. In paragraph 6, first sentence of the Suggested Welcome remove &#8220;Al-Anon is an anonymous<br \/>\nfellowship&#8221; and insert\u00a0 &#8220;Anonymity is an important principle of the<br \/>\nAl-Anon\/Alateen program&#8221;.<br \/>\n2. While no one clicked on that option, there were members of the Business Meeting who did not choose to\u00a0vote.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motion #10<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I move that 100% of the excess reserve funds be donated to Al-Anon&#8217;s World Office (WSO) on a quarterly basis while we continue the discussion of the feasibility of donating to other Al-Anon entities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Moved by Emee, seconded by Linda, Thursday, June 20, 2013 10:17 AM<\/p>\n<p>PASSED as follows:<br \/>\nResults: 1 Abstention 16 voted Yes 2 Voted no Therefore, the motion has passed:\u00a0 100% of the excess reserve funds be donated to Al-Anon&#8217;s World Service Office (WSO) on a quarterly basis while we continue the discussion of the feasibility of donating to other Al-Anon entities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Motion #9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ll move that:<\/p>\n<p>Members of AA who are members of Al-Anon are not eligible to serve in positions that could lead to the development of Al-Anon policies, as well as those positions which represent an Al-Anon meeting to the greater Al-Anon fellowship, or those positions that are directly responsible for the Al-Anon message carried to the outside world.
