Conference Approved Literature (CAL) refers to books and pamphlets published by Al-Anon Family Groups. Reading CAL is an important tool for many of us in Al-Anon. There is a great deal of ESH (Experience, Strength and Hope) to be found in CAL, most of which has been written by current and former members of Al-Anon. The Daily Chairs will almost always quote a portion of CAL that applies to their chosen topic. If you would like to purchase CAL for yourself, you can do so at most F2F (Face-to-Face) Al-Anon meetings.
